I think I can remember the very first time I ever heard Boyz II Men. It was 1992 and I was in the First Grade. Their song “It’s So Hard To Say Goodbye to Yesterday” was the graduation song of the exiting Eighth Grade class. From that point on, I fell in love with their music.
Lucky enough for me, my friend had the brilliant idea to go see Boyz II Men live at the Mirage Casino & Resort when I was in Las Vegas on Labor Day weekend. What a thrilling experience. Even though they’re down one man, I feel Boyz II Men has gotten even better.
My favorite growing up has always been Wanya and it’s a whole new experience seeing him in his element. Wanya always had the most flawless and smooth runs I’d ever heard. I can listen to them all day.
When you constantly immerse yourself in new music, sometimes you forget what’s already out there, and this concert was a great refresher to all of Boyz II Men’s contributions to the music industry.
I would love to see them again in concert soon. If any of you ever have the opportunity to see them and love great music, you really should not pass the chance up. They are worth every minute and penny.
